  • Modern recorders by Ralf Ehlert Celle, *1960 Ehlert Soprano, Alto, Tenor. Ehlert recorders have a range of 2 1/2 octaves. C#-6 (soprano), F#-5 (alto) and C#-5 (tenor) can be comfortably played without having to cover the tone hole on the foot joint. The Ehlert recorders have been modeled after Baroque tenors (Hotteterre, Bressan i.a.) as well as German recorders around 1930 with a long measure and therefore can be played with the customary Baroque fingering. Thus, there is no adaption for the fingering required. There is only additional fingering necessary for the highest notes.
